Corriere dell’Alto Adige: “Südtirol, the Var had a hand in the fall…
News: Marco Vigarani, on the pages of the Corriere dell’Alto Adige, talks about Südtirol’s return from Palermo with mixed feelings: first defeat of 2026, but above all controversy for the penalty kick that directed the match. According to what was reported by Corriere dell’Alto Adige, the VAR’s decision overturned the initial choice of referee Crezzini, who had warned Segre for simulation without awarding the penalty. As Marco Vigarani underlines in the Corriere dell’Alto Adige, the “Barbera” away match still offered comforting signs in terms of play and personality. Südtirol held their own against a battleship like Palermo, creating chances and showing quality in ball possession. The analysis of the Corriere dell’Alto Adige is clear: the defeat weighs heavily, but does not reduce the progress of the red and whites.
