News: Sampdoria sees the complaint rejected: the Federal Court of Appeal confirmed the 10-match disqualification for Gregucci and Foti (the latter performed duties as first coach despite being registered as second), the fine for the club of 5 thousand euros and 2 months of inhibition for Manfredi and Fredberg. The press releaseThe Federal Court of Appeal rejected Sampdoria's complaint, confirming the fine of 5,000 euros for the club and the 2-month ban for the president, Matteo Manfredi, and for the director and CEO of the club's Football Area, Jesper Fredberg. Also confirmed are the 10-match disqualification to be served in the actual exercise of the coaching activity for Angelo Gregucci and Salvatore Foti, respectively former coach and assistant coach of Sampdoria. Last March 10, the National Federal Court had sanctioned Foti for having exercised the role and duties of coach of the first team of Sampdoria despite being registered with that club as an assistant coach and not being in possession of the UEFA PRO qualification, at the same time sanctioning Gregucci for having signed a contract for the role of first coach without however carrying out the operational functions, but allowing and not preventing Foti from carrying out the duties of head coach of the first team in the Serie B championship despite not being in possession of the UEFA PRO qualification.
