News: Doctor Guido Staffa, a neurosurgeon from Cesena specializing in nerve and spinal reconstructive surgery, shed light on Jonathan Klinsmann's injury. “It was a severe head injury which resulted in the head being crushed against the base of the neck. This compression can create the breakage of the first vertebra, which we have under the skull", explains the doctor, clarifying that it is the Atlas vertebra. The good news is that the spinal cord is not involved. The neurosurgeon is cautious about recovery times: "It's impossible to say at the moment, but it will certainly be a long story."
