Repubblica: “Fights and vandalism, the poisons of Palermo-Catanzaro”
News: The tension linked to the "Renzo Barbera" Serie B playoff semi-final did not end at the final whistle of Palermo-Catanzaro. As Valerio Tripi explains in Repubblica Palermo, the harsh back and forth between the two clubs continues after the brawl that broke out in the authorities' stand during the match. In Repubblica Palermo's story, the spark was born after a few too many words and a gesture addressed to Vincenzo Polito by a spectator from Palermo inviting him to sit down. The newspaper also highlights the strong contrast between the versions provided by the two companies. In the statement cited by Repubblica Palermo, the Rosanero club speaks of "a deplorable scenario, first caused and then triggered by the unjustifiable conduct of members of DS Polito's family".
