Sicily: "Goodbye Barbera, the new stadium changes face: a name change…
News: As reported by La Sicilia, Palermo officially presented the technical-economic feasibility plan of the new stadium developed by Populous to the City Council, a decisive step towards the candidacy of the facility as the venue for Euro 2032. According to what was reported by La Sicilia, the new agreement also contains a clause intended to spark discussion: «The Company will be entitled to change the name, anticipating or postponing the name gradually agreed with one or more sponsors». According to La Sicilia, the overall area affected by the interventions will be approximately 63,550 square meters. As La Sicilia recalls, the city council had already expressed its desire to reach at least 40 thousand seats, a threshold deemed necessary to host a Europa League final. According to La Sicilia, the future tram line could interfere with the safety areas planned on race days, so much so that alternative solutions with diversions or replacement services are already being studied.
