Polito proud of Catanzaro: "Semifinal and final showing real football"
News: The sporting director of Catanzaro spoke to the press at the end of the second leg playoff final won 2-0 on the Monza pitch, a success that was not enough for the Giallorossi to conquer Serie A after the defeat with the same result achieved in the first leg. We rebuilt and reached a semi-final and a playoff final, showing real football, made up of values, important players, an extraordinary coach and equally extraordinary ownership." The manager then claimed responsibility for the work carried out with limited resources: “I have been achieving important results with limited budgets for years. I think it's right that football, sooner or later, gives something back to those who work in this way." Finally, a significant passage on Alberto Aquilani, one of the winning bets of the season: "I can say one thing: if Italian football doesn't bring Aquilani to Serie A, then it means that it is going in a different direction from the one it should follow."
