Palermo, Palumbo is the wild card for the tactical turning point
News: Palermo, Palumbo is the wild card for the tactical turning point. What is about to begin will be his tenth season in Serie B, the second in Palermo: the dream of moving up the category was shattered in the play-off semi-final against Catanzaro, but Palumbo has no intention of giving up and is determined to attempt a new assault in 2026/27. In the top flight he has played just a piece so far, in the Sampdoria shirt in 2020: an almost surreal scenario for someone with his talent. The experience in the rosanero was supposed to reverse the trend and bring him to that stage where until now he had only been an extra. In the first season the dream did not materialize, despite the number 5 producing ten assists and a large number of high-level performances; in the coming year both Palermo and Palumbo have an objective in Serie A that they cannot fail to achieve.
