Sicily: "The treasure of 60 million, the "necessary attention" to…
News: The Sicilian Region's decision to allocate 60 million euros to the redevelopment of the Renzo Barbera stadium continues to fuel the political debate. As La Sicilia explains, the financing represents the result of a precise political choice made within Palazzo d'Orléans and linked to the project for the candidacy of the Palermo facility for the 2032 European Football Championships. Sicily recalls that the initial plan envisaged 120 million euros allocated to regional sports facilities. Subsequently, a new distribution was defined which allocated 60 million to the Barbera redevelopment project and a portion of the resources to the tourism-hotel sector. In detail, as La Sicilia explains, a first hypothesis envisaged an equal division of the funds between regional sports facilities and the Barbera stadium.
