Le Douaron under scrutiny. A month to convince
News: From unjustified absence in the decisive matches of the season to special observer in training camp: July will be a particularly intense month for Le Douaron, who to keep Palermo will have to demonstrate that he can change pace next season. The former Brest player can still play the role of wildcard in Inzaghi's offensive sector, but will have to make a different contribution, especially in terms of scoring: in two years with the Rosanero he scored just 11 goals, too few for a club with high-ranking ambitions, especially if you consider that the first fiddle of the attack, in a year and a half, scored 34. The absence of a real alternative to Pohjanpalo was one of the reasons for Palermo's difficulties, especially in those matches where the stakes were higher. However, this is a scenario that involved not only Le Douaron, but all the members of the advanced department: it is no coincidence that the second best scorer of the season was Ranocchia with 6 goals. Immediately behind him is the former Brest, but 5 goals (the last in February against Südtirol) are too small a haul: the changed scene in the play-offs with Catanzaro weighs like a boulder on his season, with 53 minutes played in the first leg and only one half in the second leg; In both cases Inzaghi had preferred him to Rui Modesto, who however was the best of the two matches and proved to be a thorn in the side of the Giallorossi defence.
