Fontanarosa leaves Avellino: new adventure in Belgium

Avellino 1912 has announced the temporary transfer of Alessandro Fontanarosa, defender of the Irpinia squad, who will wear the shirt of Oud-Heverlee Leuven, a club playing in the Jupiler Pro League, the top championship of Belgian football. The operation, officially communicated by the green and white club, involves the transfer of the player on a temporary basis, with the right of option in favor of the Belgian club for a possible redemption at the end of the loan. Fontanarosa therefore leaves Irpinia, at least for the remaining part of the season, to compete with a new footballing reality abroad. Oud-Heverlee Leuven, based in the city of Leuven and owned by the King Power International group, plays its home matches at the Den Dreef stadium. The club, born in 2002 from the merger of three local football clubs, has been playing consistently in the Belgian top division for several consecutive seasons.
