A career that has linked him deeply to both Padua and Palermo. Pippo Maniero is the double ex of the Barbera challenge: with the Biancoscudati he contributed to the historical promotion in Serie A and to the subsequent salvation with nine goals, while in rosanero he realized 13 goals in Serie B and venting the jump in the top category. Interviewed by Pierpaolo Spettoli for Il Gazzettino di Padova, the former attacker recalled with affection both experiences. "I have a nice memory of Palermo, for little we did not center the promotion in A in the first year of Zamparini but the season had been positive equally and the next year they climbed, so it was only a matter of time. The stadium is fantastic, every Sunday there were 30-40 thousand people and for the opposing teams it was not easy to play, as it is not today. I lived in Mondello and was really good, even for the climate always mild and warm".
