The City Council is called to approve the new agreement by Friday, a fundamental step to allow the start of the Barbera redevelopment project and support Palermo's candidacy among the host cities of Euro 2032. The plan involves a total investment of around 300 million euros, supported largely by the City Football Group, with the contribution of 60 million euros already allocated by the Sicilian Region.
