In the note signed by Gardini we do not read of a definitive closure: if we were to return to the text initially shared by the football club and the municipal authorities, there would still be room for manoeuvre. “We have taken note of what has been submitted for examination by this esteemed municipal council as the result – from what we have been able to read from the press reports – of the interventions and modifications desired by the general accountant of the municipality and the municipal secretary. In this regard, the Company must immediately represent (and thus, through your kind intermediary, inform the whole City) that what is submitted to you radically overturns the proposal made by the Company (as a result of long, sometimes harsh and close, but always loyal discussions with the Offices) which, therefore, is not in a position to proceed further in the continuation of the initiative. This also considering the impact on the PEF, especially following the addition by the Company of the additional 30 million euros missing from the public contribution.
