Blue disaster, Italy out of the World Cup for the third time in a…
News: The playoff final against Bosnia and Herzegovina, played in Zenica, ended 1-1 after regular time and extra time, and was decided on penalties. In extra time, Italy tries to break through with free kicks and shots from outside the area, but the Bosnian defense resists, while Nikola Vasilj and the rearguard repel every attempt. Bosnia, on the other hand, made no mistakes: Tahirovic, Tabakovic, Alajbegovic and Bajraktarevic converted, decreeing the victory for the home team and Bosnia's qualification for the World Cup. It is the end of a dream for Italy, which will have to postpone the appointment with history and reflect on the tactical choices and the key expulsion of Bastoni. Bosnia instead celebrates a historic feat, winning the World Cup after a dramatic challenge right down to the last shot.
