Born Palermo Together, the first Paralympic Team of Palermo
The team "Palermo Insieme", which will wear the official competition kits of Palermo, will take part in two football competitions at 7 articulated in different levels of play according to the skills of the athletes and organized by the Paralympic Football Division of FIGC on a regional and interregional basis. The team was welcomed at the Palermo CFA in Torretta for the presentation of the project and for the official delivery of the kits, with the aim of giving the athletes a memorable day: after wearing the custom shirts with their names, the footballers in fact visited the sports center that hosts the First Men's Team of Palermo, ballsed on the training field, laid for the official photos and tasted from close to the places lived every day by the footballers. " Palermo has the ability to light a lighthouse on disability and fragility, giving visibility to a path that goes beyond sports activity and looks at the growth and life of individual people. When you enter the field the distances are canceled: there are no people with disabilities playing football, but athletes of a team who participate in a federal competition and who descend in the field proudly wearing the jersey of Palermo. Being seen also means being recognized in its entirety, without being identified exclusively with its own fragility or with a pathology.
