Brawl during Palermo – Catanzaro, eight Daspo: Polito's son also…

News: The Police Commissioner of the province of Palermo ordered eight Daspos following the violent brawl that broke out last May 20 in the Authority Stand sector of the "Renzo Barbera" stadium, during the second leg of the playoff semi-final between Palermo and Catanzaro, a match which then sanctioned the passage of the Calabrians to the final. Among the recipients of the measures are four members of the host club's delegation, including Vincenzo Polito, son of Catanzaro's sporting director, Ciro Polito. According to the reconstruction of the Digos, reported in a note from the Palermo Police Headquarters, the basis of the brawl was the young Polito's provocative behavior during the first half, such as to push a Palermo fan to scold him with two pats on the back. The Daspo will last two years for Polito's son, for a 37-year-old steward and for a 38-year-old Rosanero fan, while for all the others the measure will be one year. Violation of the provisions is punished with imprisonment from 1 to 3 years and fines of up to 40 thousand euros.
