Corriere dello Sport: “Insigne sinks Palermo”
News: The story written by Giancarlo Febbo in Corriere dello Sport is that of an afternoon full of football romance, with Lorenzo Insigne the absolute protagonist of the scene at the Adriatico. According to Giancarlo Febbo, in the columns of Corriere dello Sport, the former Napoli player’s return as a starter – at almost 35 years of age and with the captain’s armband – transformed Pescara, leading them to a sensational comeback against a Palermo team who had been unbeaten since 8 November. Corriere dello Sport, in Giancarlo Febbo’s piece, underlines how the best chance of the first half fell to Di Nardo, who at Insigne’s invitation raised the lob too much in front of Joronen. Pescara galvanizes, Russo comes close to taking the lead twice, while Palermo suffers the blow. In the final, Palermo surged forward, but – as Giancarlo Febbo concluded in the Corriere dello Sport – Pescara defended what is defined as “the victory of a lifetime”, concretely reopening the question of salvation.
