Cremonese, Christian Botturi is the new sporting director
News: Christian Botturi is the new sporting director of Cremonese: the manager has signed a two-year contract with the Lombard club, the objective is to make a quick ascent to Serie A. THE COMUNICATOU. S. Cremonese announces that it has entrusted Christian Botturi with the role of sporting director of the grey-red club with effect from 1 July 2026. Born in 1980, Botturi began his managerial career at Atalanta as an observer; in 1999 he held the role of sports director and manager of the Montichiari youth sector, a position he would hold for approximately ten years. He was also sporting director of Brescia in the 2021-22 season. He subsequently moved to Pro Sesto, where he was the protagonist of an excellent season which ended with 4th place in the championship in 2022-23 and to Mantova: with the Virgilians the sporting director achieved first promotion to Serie B in 2024 and then salvation in 2025. Owners and companies welcome director Botturi and wish him good work.
