Second consecutive victory in the championship for Palermo, at the end of a match full of suffering which was only resolved in the final moments of the match. Filippo Inzaghi gave a clear analysis of the match, focusing on the path taken by his team and the salient phases of the match: «I believe that the first sixty minutes were played in the right way, enough to allow us to take the double advantage. Subsequently, the two-one score gave us a hint of fear, until that unfortunate episode. In similar circumstances, such a deviation would have killed a bull, but certainly not these boys." The coach of the rosanero team expressed great pride in the reaction shown by the team in the face of the adversities that emerged at the end of the match: «The group literally rebelled at the idea of ending a match in a draw that they undoubtedly deserved to make their own, managing to find the decisive goal with full merit.
