News: Palermo completed the cycle of three weekly matches in the best possible way, achieving a historic victory in Padua which rightfully enters the annals of Serie B. As Salvatore Orifici says in the Giornale di Sicilia, no team has ever managed to win by playing with the man down for 70 minutes in this championship. Rui Modesto's expulsion in the 25th minute had complicated the Rosanero's plans, with Palermo having only picked up one point in the two previous outings. Bani's goal in the 92nd minute sealed the final result, giving three points that are worth double on a moral and ranking level. This is the third time of the season in which a team manages to win despite numerical inferiority: Avellino and Empoli had already managed it, but the red card came after half an hour.
