Sampdoria is preparing for the away match in Palermo by relying on the quality of Yari Verschaeren. According to what Lorenzo Mangini writes in Repubblica Genova, the Belgian should start from the beginning at Barbera, in a team that could change structure and present itself with the 4-2-3-1. Verschaeren's condition is not yet optimal and against Juve Stabia his performance dropped in the second half, but just a few plays were enough to show his qualities. Football CEO Jesper Fredberg, who has known him since his Anderlecht days and has pursued him for a long time, explained: «We wanted technical players to control the game and Yari is perfect. He has great potential, he can return to his best levels."
