News: Yet neither Mattia Bani nor Palumbo have ever played in the Serie B playoffs. Now, for both, the time has come to experience the promotion play-offs for the first time with the aim of dragging Palermo towards Serie A. Even Palumbo, as highlighted by the Giornale di Sicilia, has never played in the Serie B playoffs despite nine seasons spent among the cadets wearing the shirts of Ternana, Salernitana and Modena. Alessandro Arena on the Giornale di Sicilia highlights above all the impact Bani had on the Rosanero's defensive phase. The Giornale di Sicilia also underlines Palumbo's specific weight in the team's offensive construction: his ten assists represent the second best figure in the championship behind only Calò's fifteen. For Palermo now only one thing matters: transforming experience, quality and collective growth into the promotion that the city has been waiting for for years.
