News: As reported by the Giornale di Sicilia, the general secretary of the Municipality Raimondo Liotta and the general accountant Bohuslav Basile sent a note to the prefect and police commissioner of Palermo to denounce the climate that has been created around the affair of the agreement with Palermo FC. According to the Giornale di Sicilia, the two managers reject the role of alleged perpetrators of the situation that arose after the changes made to the resolution on the concession of the stadium. In the letter sent to the authorities they define the matter as "particularly institutionally serious", expressing concern for the effects it could have on the control functions entrusted to the municipal offices. In the letter addressed to the prefect and police commissioner, Liotta and Basile also express the fear of being exposed to "delegitimization and intimidation campaigns" if they were identified as being responsible for a possible negative outcome of the Barbera operation. Despite this, they reiterate their desire to continue to carry out their role with impartiality.
