News: Palermo takes another concrete step towards the new stadium. According to what was reported by the Giornale di Sicilia, the project recalls the Arab-Norman architecture of the city, taking inspiration from symbolic monuments such as Palazzo dei Normanni and the Spasimo. Il Giornale di Sicilia then underlines how the final capacity will rise from 36,282 to 38,152 seats, with an increase of approximately 1,870 spectators. The new stadium will in fact include 4,058 hospitality seats, 2,136 premium, 31,394 general admission and 564 seats for disabled people, companions, media and players. According to the Giornale di Sicilia, 325 million will be allocated to demolition, reconstruction and redevelopment, while the rest will concern financial charges, VAT and complementary infrastructure.
