News: Joronen, Bani, Ranocchia and Pohjanpalo represent the four pillars of Palermo who are aiming for Serie A through the play-offs. As Salvatore Orifici highlights in the Giornale di Sicilia, the Rosanero coach has based his technical project on a central axis of a superior category, made up of leadership, quality and continuity of performance. Arriving almost at the last minute after Gomis' injury, the Finnish goalkeeper quickly took over Palermo thanks to solid and decisive performances. According to the Giornale di Sicilia, the Rosanero number one has collected 35 appearances and 16 clean sheets, a seasonal record for the team. However, the Giornale di Sicilia also highlights a curious fact: despite the extraordinary numbers, Pohjanpalo has never managed to score in the playoffs played in his career.
