News: An important step forward has arrived for the redevelopment project of the Renzo Barbera stadium, but the green light from the Sicilian Region is accompanied by a series of requirements that will have to be incorporated into the final design. According to what was reported by the Giornale di Sicilia, the regional decree incorporates the favorable opinion of the specialist technical commission, authorizing the intervention from an environmental point of view but subjecting it to compliance with numerous conditions. Again according to the Giornale di Sicilia, Palermo FC will also have to demonstrate the real feasibility of the work and guarantee that the number of parking spaces planned is actually sufficient to satisfy the needs of the new facility. Finally, the Giornale di Sicilia underlines that the opinion of the Region remains favorable and allows the project to continue its administrative process.
