Giornale di Sicilia: “Palermo a nightmare, Playoff final now very far…
News: In his in-depth analysis in the Giornale di Sicilia, Luigi Butera bluntly recounts Palermo's collapse at the "Ceravolo", defining it as a real sporting nightmare for Filippo Inzaghi's team. The 3-0 defeat against Catanzaro in the Serie B playoff semi-final first leg is described by the Giornale di Sicilia as a very heavy defeat, resulting in one of the worst performances of the rosanero of the season. According to Luigi Butera in the Giornale di Sicilia, Palermo collapsed already in the first minutes under the blows of Pietro Iemmello, capable of immediately sending the Rosanero defense into a tailspin. Il Giornale di Sicilia highlights in particular the enormous defensive difficulties of the rosanero, overwhelmed by the accelerations of Favasuli, Alesi and above all by a devastating Iemmello both in front of goal and in offensive finishing. According to the Giornale di Sicilia, now "Renzo Barbera" will need a real undertaking.
