News: Palermo needed an almost impossible comeback after the 3-0 defeat in the first leg at the "Ceravolo" and they tried until the last second to complete the feat. According to the Giornale di Sicilia, Palermo interpreted the match in the right way from the first minutes. However, Luigi Butera in the Giornale di Sicilia underlines how Catanzaro has once again demonstrated great maturity. In the Giornale di Sicilia story, the Rosanero's great regret for the central period of the second half also emerges, when Palermo literally laid siege to Catanzaro's half of the pitch. But the verdict remains very harsh: Palermo will have to start again from Serie B. And, as Luigi Butera writes in the Giornale di Sicilia, "unfortunately it wasn't supposed to end like this".
