News: Palermo has now chosen the path to follow in view of the 2026/27 season. As Alessandro Arena explains in the Giornale di Sicilia, the 4-2-3-1 system on which Filippo Inzaghi will build the new team will be 4-2-3-1 and, consequently, the market will also be oriented towards the search for players capable of best interpreting this tactical structure. According to Alessandro Arena of the Giornale di Sicilia, the first completed operations are already going in this direction, but the squad still has some gaps to fill. In midfield, Palermo aims to build a complementary pair: Ranocchia will be the reference playmaker, supported by a more physical profile, with Segre and Estevez ready to compete for a shirt. On the offensive flanks, Johnsen remains the point of reference on the left, while the club will still have to identify a left-footed winger for the right wing and an alternative on the opposite lane.
