Giornale di Sicilia: “The Ranocchia lighthouse illuminates Palermo”
News: Palermo has found its technical reference point in the heart of midfield. According to Alessandro Arena’s analysis in the Giornale di Sicilia, the Rosanero coach has relaunched the number 10 as the advanced director of the maneuver, entrusting him with the keys to building the game. Against Mantova, for example, Ranocchia collected Augello’s assist and found the goal with a precise conclusion at the far post after Pohjanpalo’s movement which had freed up the space. Ranocchia’s work is also measured in the management of ball possession. A performance that confirms the weight of the midfielder in Inzaghi’s system, even if the real leap in quality will have to come in away games.
