The little girl, a Palermo fan, died in the night between Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th May after a long battle with an aggressive tumor she was fighting against. His story had moved the city and the rosanero world. During Palermo's matches, home and away, organized groups dedicated chants and banners to her. "Palermo FC, with president Dario Mirri and the entire City Football Group family, mourns the untimely death of Alessia La Rosa, a little rosanero fan aged just 8 who fought with extraordinary strength against a terrible illness", reads a note released by the club.
