News: The Municipality of Palermo reviews its plans on the location of the Grand Stand Arena after the controversy that arose around the initial hypothesis at La Favorita. An alternative area is now being evaluated for the large modular structure, already used at the Foro Italico in Rome for sporting events and shows of international importance. As reported by the Giornale di Sicilia, the project – promoted by the Department of Sport and Health with an investment of more than six million euros – aims to make the structure stable within the circuit of large cultural and sporting events. In recent days, the Municipality has identified a new possible location, shifting attention to Partanna Mondello, in the so-called sports citadel. This is an area already characterized by the presence of sports facilities and infrastructures dedicated to competitive and recreational activities, considered more suitable to accommodate a large structure, well connected to the entrances and exits of the city.
