Sampdoria raises its voice after the 3-1 defeat against Palermo and is targeting the refereeing direction of Matteo Marchetti. A very tough stance which, according to what was reported by Il Secolo XIX, would have surprised The Hague and the new head and designator of the National Referees Commission for Serie A and B, Daniele Orsato. Rome would not have appreciated either the form or the content of the Sampdoria's criticism. Sports director Americo Branco intervened after the match, using harsh words: «If an international referee is appointed, you expect international management. What we saw in Palermo was instead very small in mentality."
