News: PALERMO – An alleged corrupt system for the issuing of nautical licenses within 12 miles and for the conversion of driving documents, including foreign ones. As anticipated by LiveSicilia on February 4th, five suspects risked more serious restrictive measures. The Prosecutor’s Office hypothesizes that, thanks to the complicity of Cardinale’s former colleagues at the DMV, the candidates received quiz questions and answers in advance. In some cases, again according to what was reported by LiveSicilia, the foreign documents were found to be false. During interrogations, the five recipients of the precautionary measures denied having paid or received bribes.
