Italian Cup, Palermo show at Barbera: beats Mantua 5-2
Palermo suffers, reacts and wins the pass to the round of 16 of the Frecciarossa Italian Cup. At the Renzo Barbera, Filippo Inzaghi's rosanero beat Mantua 5-2 at the end of a match full of emotions and will now face Bologna in the next round. After a first half that ended with a double lead, Palermo came back from the back in just ten minutes of the second half, but found the strength to take back the match with Pohjanpalo and closed it in the final with Johnsen. First half: Strefezza and Palumbo direct the match. The start is all Rosanero branded. Palermo starts with great intensity and in the 8th minute breaks the deadlock: Gomes serves Strefezza in the area, the number 7 controls and from a tight angle he unleashes a left-footed shot that goes past Bardi for 1-0, his first goal in the Rosanero shirt.
