News: The coach of Juve Stabia, Ignazio Abate, presented the Serie B playoff semi-final against Monza in a press conference, sending a message that goes beyond the simple sporting result. “I'm not good with statistics, but deep down I hope that the final can be between two teams from the South,” he said. A dream, not a simple suggestion: if the Vespas eliminated Paolo Bianco's Monza, they would find themselves facing one between Palermo and Catanzaro in the final, the two protagonists of the other semi-final. An entirely southern final, unprecedented and full of meaning for historically north-centric Italian football, which has rarely seen the South play an absolute leading role. On a technical level, Abate doesn't hide: “Monza has important players with great careers behind them.
