La Repubblica – Palermo-Padova, a twinning that has

Failures, reversal and different generations failed to break it. The one between the fans of Palermo and Padua is the only twinning still standing for the last rosanero, a relationship born in the early eighties and handed down to today. As Valerio Tripi says on Repubblica, every intersection between the two teams becomes the occasion to renew a friendship that has now exceeded forty years. Everything originated in 1983, when five later Padovani spent a summer holiday in Sicily. The meeting with the pinkish supporters of Commandos Aquile was characterized by a welcome and hospitality that surprised the Venetian boys and laid the foundations for a bond destined to last.
