Municipality and Palermo FC meet UEFA leaders for Euro 2032
News: A delegation from the Municipality of Palermo and Palermo FC, together with the designers of Populous, was received on an official visit to Nyon in Switzerland at the UEFA headquarters: the agenda was the advancement of the path that will bring Palermo and Barbera among the candidates to host the 2032 European Championships. A further step forward in the process that will lead to joint work on the final project and the formalization of the candidacy, by July 2026. A result that ifies to the vitality and attractiveness of our territory and which strengthens the credibility of our candidacy. I also want to reiterate – concluded Lagalla – the strong and fruitful collaboration between the Municipality and Palermo FC, who are working together with determination on the redevelopment project of the Renzo Barbera stadium. This shared path represents one of the most solid foundations on which to build the future of Palermo also in view of such a prestigious international event."
