In the 64th minute Napoli took the lead following a corner kick: Riccio served Chiaiese, who beat Musto with a precise turn. Shortly afterwards the Azzurri have the opportunity to double their lead from the spot, but Riccio hits the post, with the Rosanero goalkeeper having also guessed the trajectory. After four minutes of injury time, the final whistle blows which confirms the victory of the Azzurri.
