Padova changes ownership: Alessandro Banzato new majority shareholder
News: There was officially, through a press conference involving the leaders of the red and white club, the transfer of the majority shares from the now former shareholder Joseph Oughourlian, approximately 70%, to Alessandro Banzato, leader of “Acciaierie Venete”. President Peghin, who will also remain in office under Banzato, retraced the stages of this operation, starting from when he returned to Padova in May 2023 alongside Oughourlian, and how he had already proposed to Banzato if he wanted to take up the baton if the majority shareholder wanted to take a step back. A scenario that he defined as “A dream come true”. The new owner Alessandro Banzato also spoke, “I would like to say that we have the objective of building an ambitious company, but this will have to rest on solid foundations and this will be my objective from tomorrow morning. We have clear objectives. The transfer of shares took place for two and a half million euros.”
