Palermo, 300 million project for the new Barbera
News: La Repubblica – Palermo, 300 million project for the new Barbera The redevelopment project of the Renzo Barbera stadium enters a decisive phase. As Repubblica reports, the preliminary services conference established the common desire to consider the intervention of “public interest”, a fundamental step to start the path that will lead to the renovation of the plant. The estimated overall investment – explains Repubblica – is around 300 million euros, with over half of the resources expected to be supported by the City Group, within a project that not only concerns the stadium but also the transformation of the surrounding areas. In essence, the project that takes shape is the most ambitious of the hypotheses presented by the Rosanero club. As Repubblica reports, this is the so-called “hypothesis number four”, which envisages a stadium completely renovated according to UEFA standards: capacity of over 40 thousand seats, coverage of the stands, elimination of architectural barriers and a system of services and mobility connected to the facility.
