Palermo and Mantua, the curse of the “X” ends
News: Palermo’s victory against Mantova not only gives three very important points to the Rosanero, also in light of Frosinone’s draw at Pescara which allows Inzaghi’s team to recover two points over the Ciociaria. The success of “Barbera” also breaks a real curse. In fact, in the precedents between the two teams in Serie B, the X sign had always dominated: nine draws out of nine. Extending our gaze to the matches played in Serie A, this is only Palermo’s second victory against Mantova. The first dates back to November 1962, when the Rosanero won by a narrow margin thanks to a goal by defender Volpi.
