Palermo and the "fair of dreams": few but really good ones are needed
News: This phase of the season, when there is no real news and both the start of training camps and the conclusion of the transfer market are far away, is characterized by a plethora of more or less imaginative indiscretions about players who are "liked" or "followed". The reasons for this skepticism are rooted in the ancient and recent history of Palermo. I would never dream of teaching the trade to those who are familiar with algorithms, preventive markings, arms and starting from the bottom. We need a few players, but really good ones, and above all we need to finally abandon the "disposable" strategy which would open up the need for a new revolution in the hoped-for promotion hypothesis. Because, this too, history teaches, after promotion to Serie A, Guidolin's Palermo went to the UEFA Cup, while Iachini's team easily placed in mid-table.
