Palermo, bitter record: never a fourth with such a high average points
News: Palermo will finish Serie B in fourth place with the highest average points since the introduction of the three points (1994/95). There are also Empoli's 73 points in the 2012/13 season (average of 1.73). The current Palermo, even in the event of a defeat against Venezia, would finish with at least 1.89 points per game: a figure never achieved by a fourth team. With a win, the average could rise to 1.97. For Palermo it will be the opportunity to transform a bitter record into a different ending, giving concrete meaning to a season which, numbers in hand, would have deserved a much different epilogue.
