Palermo boom boom, a barrage of goals with many
The first four official outings have left a rather clear message: Palermo knows how to score goals, and above all they seem to enjoy scoring lots of them. After the 5-2 win over Mantua in the Italian Cup, the rosanero's tally rose to 11 goals in four matches: two against Lecce, one against Juve Stabia, three against Arezzo and five against the Lombard team. Numbers that tell of a team with a strong offensive vocation and which, at least in this first part of the season, has chosen not to give up its identity. Much of the credit also goes to the game system. Palermo was mainly deployed with the 4-3-3 rather than the 4-2-3-1, a formation that enhances the characteristics of the attacking men but which, inevitably, can expose the team more when it loses balance.
