Palermo can still accept another season in Serie B, but on one…
News: GdS – Palermo can still accept another season in Serie B, but on one condition: that it truly be the last. Palermo starts again from disappointment, but also from a different awareness compared to recent years. As Luigi Butera observes in the Giornale di Sicilia, in the aftermath of the playoff elimination against Catanzaro, the sporting failure remains evident: Palermo, built to go to Serie A, has once again ended its run in Serie B. This time however – underlines Luigi Butera -, the ending leaves different sensations compared to previous seasons. The newspaper underlines how the path was interrupted in the playoff semi-final against a Catanzaro who arrived mentally lighter and capable of exploiting the pressure that accompanied Palermo throughout the season. In his editorial in the Giornale di Sicilia, Luigi Butera highlights that the moment of analysis will soon arrive for the City Football Group too, called to question how it was possible to once again miss the promotion objective despite the investments made.
