Palermo, Feliciani returns: it was he who denied the penalty to the…
News: The relationship between Palermo and the Roman referee tells of a long unbeaten streak: six previous matches without defeat for the Sicilians, with three wins and three draws. The first meeting dates back to the 2020/2021 Serie C season, in Barbera's 1-1 draw against Bari. A year later Feliciani also refereed the second leg playoff semi-final win against Feralpisalò, a decisive step towards the return to Serie B. Even in the lower division the balance remains favorable to the rosanero. Feliciani directed the pyrotechnic 3-3 home win against Pisa and the 2-1 away success at Ascoli. However, Feliciani's name inevitably brings us back to the controversy of last April 25, when Palermo drew 1-1 against Reggiana amid pro s over a penalty kick that appeared to be clear and not awarded to the rosanero.
