News: Palermo flies to Australia, Gardini: "historic stage, we are among the greats of football"For the first time in over 125 years of history, Palermo will cross continental borders to land in Australia. The Rosanero club will in fact be among the protagonists of "Calcio Italiano", a prestigious international event scheduled in Perth in August 2026. The highlight of the Australian expedition will be the luxury friendly against Juventus, set for Tuesday 11 August at the Optus Stadium in Perth. This "festival of Italian football" will also see the Milanese teams involved in a derby and the Bianconeri against the Nerazzurri, transforming Western Australia into a center of attraction for thousands of fans. In addition to the purely sporting aspect, the "Palermo goes to Australia" project aims to strengthen the visceral bond with the numerous Sicilian communities present on Australian territory.
