Palermo, green light from the city council for the “Renzo Barbera”…

News: An important step forward has arrived for the future of the Renzo Barbera stadium. The Palermo City Council has unanimously approved an agenda relating to the redevelopment project of the Viale del Fante facility, confirming institutional support for the path started for the renovation of the stadium. With the approved document, the chamber committed the mayor of Palermo to representing, during the services conference convened in the next few hours and in the subsequent institutional steps, the will of the city council to support every initiative useful for the realization of the project. The objective is clear: to allow the city of Palermo to remain in line with UEFA standards, a fundamental requirement to be able to aspire to host the final stages of the main European football competitions in the future. The document voted by the City Council therefore reiterates the full support of the chamber for a project considered strategic, not only for the sporting future of the city but also for the infrastructural development of the entire territory.
