News: Palermo in Catanzaro with mourning on their arms and a special shirt for little Alessia. Palermo football will take to the field on Sunday away against Catanzaro with mourning on their arms to pay homage to the memory of Alessia La Rosa, the 8-year-old fan who passed away after a long battle with cancer. The Rosanero players will apply a special commemorative patch dedicated to the little girl, who has become a symbol of courage and tenacity, on their match shirts. The Viale del Fante club has decided to auction off the shirts worn during the match valid for the first leg of the Serie B playoff semi-final, donating the entire proceeds to Aslti ODV – Liberi di crescerè. The association, which has operated since 1982 at the Civic hospital in Palermo, has supported Alessia and her family and continues to offer free assistance to hundreds of cancer children.
